A new fireplace accessories supplier signs on for home building industry.
Tustin, California-based FIRE on ICE ™ manufactures a specially formulated glass for use in fireplaces. This glass has the appearance of crushed ice and is distributed evenly across the fireplace floor in place of logs.

A gas burner pipe goes beneath the glass. The result is a beautiful fire that comes up through the glass pieces and dances on top of them, illuminating the contours of the glass and creating a reflective brilliance.

The glass pieces come in a variety of colors to match any décor. "People like this product because it’s so much cleaner than traditional fireplaces," said Mark Georgantas, who created and patented the unique decorator item. " There is no soot or ash. No logs to replace, no dirt or messy smoke. And there are no burn marks on the fireplace wall. The glass pieces burn cleanly and odorlessly, and they will never change color due to burns.
